We've caught Steve Fraley, a graduate student in aquatic biology at the University of Tennessee, in his natural habitat--near a creek. Steve can't give us an exact reason why he chose to be an aquatic biologist, but he remembers, "When I was growing up, I spent a lot of time playing in the creek. Now I get paid to play in the creek."
Steve's school preparation for this work has included study of wildlife and fisheries and animal science.
